Thanks for the coffee this morning!
Thanks for joining us!
I remember well the morning I rolled up to 12th and Chemeketa on a crisp, slightly foggy morning, ~twenty-five miles in and a few blocks to go, when what's-his-name (the big guy who recently retired from BTA board) stepped toward me holding out a welcome cup of coffe and waved me in.
I love you guys.
After that, however, I always felt a little awkward and out-of-place. ("I'm a loner, Dottie. A rebel." :-)
So many things your comment suggests!
I'm glad it was cheery once for you.
Still, B on B might indeed be ready for a refresh. If you have ideas on ways to make it better, let us know! (If you have specific criticism, hit me off line - salembikes [at] gmail [dot] com.)
At the same time, people who bike are a self-selecting bunch, and we skew towards the rebel, loner, libertarian, independent. Bikes offer freedom! One of the challenges in Salem advocacy is that we who bike scatter into our micro-silos, and it's not always easy to get together when we need to aggregate into larger units for political ends. We are also overwhelmingly white and male. If you have ideas on ways to make better connections, also let us know!
