There's a nice piece on public art in the paper today. And there's no better way to notice and enjoy the art than by being on bike or on foot!
And for a bit yet, through the 29th, the pianos are still around town. Here one adds life to the concrete plaza of the sculpture garden at the Convention Center.
Update, Thursday
Here's more on the pianos from yesterday evening.
It is perhaps not surprising that there were people on the Bridge and in Bush Park, but the Sculpture garden was barren. It lacks attractions on its edges, it is bounded by busy roads, and the center remains an expanse of concrete - no amount of hanging baskets will dress it up.

As of now, here is a ranked list of sites by count of uploaded photos and videos:
Union St RR Bridge - 39
Bryan Johnston Park - 33
VFW (Grant neighborhood) - 27
Chemeketa and Liberty - 26
Minto Dog Park - 25
Bush Park - 22
Capitol - 21
Lancaster Mall - 19
Conference Center - 16
Keizer City Hall - 16
Kroc Center 8
I think it is a rough index for healthy urban spaces. No surprise that the Bridge and Kroc bookend the list. It's good to see Bryan Johnston and the VFW (lifted by Broadway Commons and the Church I'm sure) so high. It'll be interesting to see what the final tally is.
