League Cycling Instructor Gary Obery taught the first Introduction to Smart Cycling clinic Saturday mid-morning. The weather was perfect! - not too hot. One parent and child pair arrived on a tandem!
About 20 sat under the cherry trees on the mall and discussed road movements and traffic interaction. Then they went out on some Salem streets to practice and analyze!The class split up into two groups and frequently stopped to discuss real-life situations.
Afterwards, several went off to the Salem Saturday Market!
Gary says he'll do it again next month, so look for more!
