Though the labels got switched up in the paper, it was nice to read in the Statesman Weekend section a nice plug for Grochau Cellars "commuter cuvee" pinot noir. A silky, lightweight pinot noir, this wine's aromas and flavors are dominated by strawberry, bright raspberry, violet and roses. Moderate acids make this a food-friendly wine. Purchase Grochau's Commuters Cuvee at West Side Wine Shop for $15.
The wine benefits the Brett Jarolimek Memorial Fund, whose funds are administered by the Bicycle Transportation Alliance to support bicycle safety efforts.
