Since January, two youth Project Interns Casandra Sanchez-Soriano and Antonio Muñoz, studied the levels of Diesel Pollution in Salem, and engaged their community in the process. Join us in their effort to present this information to the community.

-Black carbon levels in different communities of Salem

You might remember a while back an OPB story on the Volkswagen scandal. It had a searchable map of particulate levels and showed problem areas in Salem, including the I-5 corridor.

I attended this. Good work by the presenters about their study for measuring particulate matter and explaining it to the audience, which sparked discussion on a wide range of related air quality topics.
